During the recent Nintendo Direct, Capcom announced cloud versions for four acclaimed Resident Evil titles coming to the Nintendo Switch line of consoles - Resident Evil Village Cloud being the first. The award-winning eighth installment in the main series
will be released on October 28th, 2022 for Nintendo Switch and will be accompanied by the highly anticipated Winter's Expansion, which will follow on December 2nd, 2022.
Cloud versions of the acclaimed Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 biohazard games are also in development for Nintendo Switch and will be available later this year. All of these titles were made possible by Capcom's in-house RE Engine, which is also used for Resident Evil Village.
Winters family saga - a nightmare...
Set after the events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Resident Evil Village continues the Winters family saga with a new nightmare where Ethan is hunted by the mysterious residents of a remote village. Resident Evil Village continues Ethan's adventure in first-person perspective to bring the survival horror horrors and adrenaline-pumping action that are so close to the series
and experience as personally as possible. The Winter's Expansion brings third-person mode, additional characters for The Mercenaries, and Shadows of Rose, a new story set 16 years after the main storyline and following the journey of Ethan's daughter Rosemary.
