Square Enix announced the release of NieR Replicant. The new edition of the role-playing game will appear on the western market on April 23, 2021. Despite the fairly solid playful concept, the games in the NieR series are well received by the fans, not least because of the background frame.

The story of NieR in the west was different from the Japanese story. While a father was searching for a cure for his daughter in Europe and North America, the story of a dark, apocalyptic world was told in Japan in which the protagonist seeks a cure for his sister's deadly disease.
The new edition will follow the Japanese original and thus offer this story for the first time in the West. The team has of course also made improvements to the game. In addition to the graphics, the gameplay has also been adapted to the controls of NieR: Automata, which was published in 2017 as the successor to NieR.
Square Enix also announced that NieR: Automata has sold 4,85 million units. In order to soon reach the milestone of 5 million copies, the Game of the YoRHa Edition will be discounted by 50 percent for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in the coming days. The mobile game "NieR Re[in]carnation" is also scheduled to appear in the West for the first time at the end of the year.
