The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is getting closer and with it the number of news bites that CD Projekt Red will present to the fans until the final release of the role-playing game in September. A recent Twitter snippet now reveals more information about the "6th Street Gang", a band of criminals who are up to mischief in the dark game world of Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077: Crime War in Night City
The "6th Street Gang" is one of the gangs running rampant in Night City. Originally, the group was formed by veterans of the fourth corporate war, which took place between 2021 and 2025. The rival mega-corporations OTEC and CINO played a key role in this. Fighting took place all over the world, including in Tokyo, Washington and Chicago - and of course in Night City.
A "Cyber-up your PC" campaign is currently running:
So before members of the 6th Street Gang climbed the criminal ladder, the war veterans were helping out Night City's overwhelmed police forces. Their ultimate goal was to protect the residents of the Vista del Rey neighborhood. Over time, the worthy goals dwindled, the gang became more corrupt, their actions more selfish and questionable. Undoubtedly, the story behind the "6th Street Gang" contributes a significant part to the overall plot of Cyberpunk 2077.
On September 17th, Cyberpunk 2077 appears after his shift. The role-playing game will initially be released for Playstation 4, PC, Xbox One and Google Stadia. At the moment it looks like CD Projekt Red could meet the deadline. Most institutions have already rated the role play after it was submitted to the age test.
Cyberpunk 2077 will also be released for next-gen consoles, but at a later date. This has been confirmed by CD Projekt Red after it was unclear for a long time whether the dark sci-fi role-playing game would actually be available for the next generation of consoles, i.e. among other things Playstation 5 and Microsofts Xbox Series X would appear.
While the Xbox One version of Cyberpunk 2077 can be upgraded to the next-gen variant, similar plans for Sony's console are currently unclear.
