The portfolio of Pegasus Spiele will again have titles available for all target groups in 2024 - from children to expert gamers. At the toy fair in Nuremberg, Pegasus Spiele is presenting, among other things, the new products for the first quarter. These include, for example, the quiet hectic game Zilence, the tile-laying game Tucana Builders, Farshore - A game in the world of Everdell, the puzzle-thriller series 50 Clues and the SPIEL'23 highlight The Vale of Eternity.
In the gaming year 2023, Pegasus Spiele has added over 90 new games to the publishing range in collaboration with publishing partners. 2024 also promises to be a strong year of games: the first highlights for the year will already be presented at the Toy Fair (Hall 11, FY03/06) from January 30th to February 3rd.
New products for beginners and experienced people
A whole range of new products for all experience levels will be released in the first quarter. For children aged six and over and families, it is worth taking a look at the quiet hectic game Zilence by Sophia Wagner. In the child-friendly zombie scenario, players collect items that are essential to survival, such as medicine packs or games. All they have to do is “fly” different routes with their eyes to find the one that contains most of the objects they are looking for. However, time is limited and aids to keep track of the busy city map are not permitted. Six variably usable, double-sided game board pieces always provide new variety.
Tucana Builders is also expected to be released in February. As an independent follow-up game to Trails of Tucana, the family game by Eilif Svensson and Kristian Amundsen Østby takes up some central game elements and combines them with new rules to create an entertaining tile-laying game for ages eight and up. In two rounds, the players build their own island board with terrain tiles. Your goal is to build sensible routes that the island animals can use to find their way home. Whoever does this best wins the game. Thanks to variable starting lineups, which apply equally to all players, every game offers new variance.
The Everdell world will continue to grow in 2024. With Farshore – A Game in the World of Everdell, an independent connoisseur game is now appearing for the first time. Using their maritime animal species, which can also be combined with Everdell, players collect resources to build their own city. If you also manage to attract the right creatures at the right time, you can also move your own sailing boat and explore the rough coast. The goal in the game by Clarissa & James A. Wilson is to collect the most points using cards, shells, the sailboat and treasure chests.
The SPIEL’23 highlight The Vale of Eternity, which is now appearing in German for the first time, also falls into the segment of connoisseur games. As tamers, players immerse themselves in a world full of mystical creatures from various mythologies. To earn points, they must tame and summon the most powerful of them. Alternatively, they can sell creatures for valuable runestones or release them later. Whoever can skillfully combine the effects of 70 different creatures wins Eric Hong's game.
The 50 Clues series by Jakob Bang and Jeppe Norsker, on the other hand, is particularly interesting for those who like to play crime puzzle games. In each of the three parts, which can theoretically be played independently, the playgroup experiences a chapter of the story “Sigrid's Search”. The first part, No Sign of Life, begins with the disappearance of Sigrid's sister Gro, who works as a biological warfare expert. The players take on the role of Sigrid and go on a search. Each puzzle you solve takes you one step further in the story, which takes you to an underground military facility in Part 2, Deeper Down, and finally comes to a conclusion in Part 3, The Last Journey. A web app guides players through the puzzle thriller and provides clues if necessary.
