66 replayable missions, five secret boxes with additional materials and lots of thrills: The cooperative family game Bomb Busters will be at SPIEL Essen 2024 at Pegasus Spiele appear. The aim of the deduction game is to defuse bombs together by finding the matching cables and – figuratively speaking – cutting them.
In Bomb Busters, two to five players aged ten and over work together as a bomb disposal team to defuse increasingly dangerous bombs. In a total of 66 replayable missions with increasing levels of difficulty, they must prove their communication and coordination skills.
Exciting defusing
To successfully defuse the bomb, identical cables must be found and cut before the explosion occurs. The cables are numbered from one to twelve, with each number appearing exactly four times. However, each person can only see their own cables. The group must gradually find out which cables have the same value, i.e. which are the matching counterparts, by cleverly combining things and drawing the right conclusions.
But caution is advised: if a cable with a different value is cut, the explosion of the bomb comes closer. The red cable is particularly dangerous - if it is cut, there is an immediate crash and the game ends abruptly. Yellow cables with decimal numbers add an additional challenge, while equipment cards can help players in particularly tricky situations.
Thanks to the increasingly challenging missions and five surprise boxes with additional rules and materials, Bomb Busters is a diverse game that even advanced players will not miss out on. Teamwork and strategic thinking are the key to success in Hisashi Hayashi's family game! The cables are only cut in a figurative sense - the game material remains intact.
