Plan B Games has a revised version of the card game by camel up announced. The game is scheduled for release in spring 2023. So far there is only an English announcement, it can be assumed that the game will also appear in German. The Canadian publisher Plan B Games, who has employees in both Germany and Canada, has been a member for a number of years Asmodee. At the takeover at that time, also moved next move, Pretzel Games and Eggert games into the program of Asmodee.
The new card game will contain revised rules and come in a new design. Also will be crazy camels from the second edition of camel up be represented. There is currently little information, but if there is more, we will of course tell you about it.
The Camel Up series
Released in 2014 camel up near Eggert games (Sales overflowed Pegasus Games) and won the Game of the Year award. In the game you bet on camels, more precisely which camel will win the race and which will be last in the end. In addition, you also bet on the camel that will lead after each round. Nobody plays a certain camel, but one of the camels is moved by a dice action. There is a dice for each camel, but you don't know which one to move because the dice are in a pyramid. Only when you decide to move a camel do you drop one of the cubes from the pyramid.
In the following years appeared with Camel Up: Super Cup (2015) and Came Up: Grand Prix of Sahara (2016) two expansions for the game. While the first expansion contained four individual modules that can be built into the base game, the second expansion brought an alternative playing field and new fields, such as the vortex field.
Also released in 2016 with Camel Up Cards a small card game variant. Instead of a game board, the camels run over individual cards. But here, too, you try to crown yourself as the betting king and use all the action options to do so. The palm tree and the fox add even more fun to the game.
In 2018 there was a new edition of camel up and 2021 with Camel Up: Well Packed! an independent successor. Instead of betting on camels in a race, it is now a matter of loading the camels as well as possible for a caravan and trading successfully.
