Donald Duck is celebrating his 90th birthday and is getting his own board game to mark the anniversary. The publisher Maestro Media will be releasing the title with an official Disney license: Donald Duck in Happy Camper.
What is special about the new Disney board game: the German author Wolfgang Kramer, five-time winner of the Game of the Year award, is responsible for the game idea. Kramer and the author Daryl Andrews (including Sagrada and Back to the Future) have created the board game together. The publisher is Maestro Media, a relatively small publisher, but they do bring a number of licenses to the market, for example for The Smurfs and Hello Kitty.
Donald Duck: Happy Camper – Adventures in the Forest
The name determines the program in Donald Duck: Happy Camper. Donald Duck and his nephews go camping in the forest. Two to four players then do what adventurers do: they put up tents, make useful things and look for nice places to take photos. This is how you collect badges and bonuses in the board game for players aged eight and over.
Donald Duck himself is not an active character, but serves as a timer in the game: Donald goes on a trip to the forest himself; the game ends when Donald has completed his little adventure.

The board game will be released in December 2024. The price is set to be around 30 US dollars. A game should last between 30 and 45 minutes.
