Dune: Spice Wars, the unique blend of 4X and real-time strategy set on Arrakis, is coming to Xbox Series X|S on November 28th. The game recently left Early Access on Steam; Now developer Shiro Games and publisher Funcom are bringing the battle for spice to consoles for the first time.
During its year-long Early Access, Dune: Spice Wars received six major updates that added multiple playable factions, tons of new features, balance and QoL updates, and incorporated requests from the passionate community.
Dune Spice Wars combines the instant-to-moment feel of real-time strategy with the long-term planning typical of 4X games. The war on Arrakis extends far beyond the actual battlefield: players must also control the flow of Spice by mastering the art of Landsraad politics, economic manipulation and espionage.
Each of the six iconic factions from the Dune universe, including Houses Atreides and Harkonnen or the Fremen, has its own strengths. Alone or with friends, with rivals or allies - the most important thing is to survive the unforgiving desert of Arrakis.
