Owlcat Games, a developer of CRPGs, has announced in the IGN livestream of gamescom announced that the CRPG Warhammer 40.000: Rogue Trader will feature a cooperative multiplayer mode. The brand new trailer introduces nine of the companions that can join and be embodied by players in the darkness of the 41st century.
Players take on the role of a free trader, descendants of a venerable family of daring privateers who rule a trading empire and explore the fringes of Imperial power in the name of the Emperor himself. Thanks to the Trade Authority, Free Traders have unimaginable privileges and powers and are also charged with expanding the Empire's borders.
The player has at his disposal a gigantic Void ship of immense strength as well as a huge crew that is just waiting to carry out the orders of their leader. It is up to the player to show mercy to his subordinates or treat them with contempt, to remain loyal to the Emperor or to join forces with enemies of humanity - every decision made by the Free Trader affects entire solar systems and changes the in-game world and its inhabitants.

Warhammer 40.000: Rogue Trader is an isometric, turn-based role-playing game in which players become one of the most respected free trader captains in the galaxy. In the service of the Emperor and the Empire of Men, the eponymous Rogue Trader's domain extends across all of Imperial space and offers the privilege of traveling into the unknown. The Free Trader must find unlikely allies and team up with characters such as a powerful Space Marine, a fearsome Aeldari, a devout Sister of Battle, an eccentric psyker, and other xenos to explore the farthest reaches of the galaxy.

Warhammer 40.000: Rogue Trader's companions include: Abelard Werserian, the stalwart First Officer; IdIdira Tlass, the dangerous, unlicensed psyker; Pasqal Haneumann, the enigmatic tech prize winner; Cassia Orselli, the unsettling navigator; Yrliet Lanaevyss, the esoteric Aeldari ranger; Heinrix van Calox, the fearless Ordo Xenos Inquisitor; Jae Heydari, the devious member of the Cold Traders and Sister Argenta, the righteous Sister of Battle.
The fate of the Rogue Trader companions and the events they experience are determined by the players. Every decision impacts all of space as they bring the entire Koronus Expanse under their control. Multiplayer co-op will be available on the Windows PC version of Warhammer 40.000: Rogue Trader on day one and on consoles after release.
