Surprise at the start of the 100th NFL season: Electronic Arts has announced a new game mode for the latest installment in the Madden series, Madden NFL 20. With the "Superstar KO" Madden will be expanded to include a "fun and fast" mode, according to EA. Just in time for the start of the season, players can take part in fast-paced, action-packed matches alone or in teams. From September 5th to September 9th, the game mode can even be tested for free.

"Shorter games, bigger action": That's the motto of the new Superstar KO mode that Electronic Arts is offering for Madden NFL 20 at the start of the anniversary season. Short 5-minute games and Ultimate Team mode rewards are designed to keep gamers glued to the gamepads - even during halftime of a live NFL broadcast.

Superstar KO: Draft – or “steal” – Superstars

Madden NFL has rarely been this quick and dirty. With the short but intense matches, EA Tiburon focuses on the fun of the game. Alone or together, players compete to try out their Superstar strategies and collect rewards for their Ultimate Team, among other things. The highlight of Superstar KO: Superstars can be drafted as usual, but they can also be lured away by defeated opponents.

The following trailer reveals more about the new mode:

Players can try the new mode for free from September 5th to 9th, after which all those who have an active Xbox Live or Playstation Plus membership will retain access to the Superstar KO. Madden NFL 20 owners can continue to play the mode for free even after the trial period.
The rules are simple: the player with the most points wins. Each team only has one possession of the ball. There should also be updates for this mode throughout the season

Madden NFL 20 was developed by the developer studio EA Tiburon in Orlando (Florida). The game is available for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 - a mobile version is also available.
