The publisher Egmont Ehapa Media is bringing out the third homage to Lucky Luke. It is entitled "Lucky Luke saddled" and this time it was penned by the German artist Mawel. It will appear in stores from May 02nd.
Cowboy rides a bike
The cartoonist Mawel has come up with an extremely fast-paced story as a tribute to the well-known "lonesome cowboy". Lucky Luke saddles in Lucky Luke saddlesto describe in more detail, from horse to bicycle, and travels across America with it. What does his horse and best friend Jolly Jumper think about it? Readers will find out from May 02nd, because that's when it will appear in stores. It is offered both as a hardcover in the Egmont Comic Collection (EUR 15,00, ISBN 978-3-7704-4060-3) and as a softcover by Egmont Ehapa Media (EUR 7,99).
The author and illustrator with the stage name "Mawel" was born as Markus Witzel in 1976 in East Berlin. He studied communication design at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. His diploma in comic history was called We can be friends and his subsequent books were published by Reprodukt in numerous translations all over the world. His work children's land was voted the most successful comic of 2014 and won the award for "Best Comic" at the renowned Max and Moritz Prize.
