Publisher 2K recently announced new features and updates for The W in NBA 2K22 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. WNBA mode features an all-new badge progression system, three playable activities on off days, and the ability to connect with friends online.

New progress system in NBA 2k22
WNBA mode builds on the debut of The W last year, and this year brings even more realism and additional ways to experience the league both on and off the court. First up is a new progression system: The new badge progression system allows players to collect badges to improve their game and become WNBA legends. In both on-court competition and practice, players can equip and upgrade plaques to tailor their MyPLAYER builds to their own strengths;
The W is also introducing three new playable activities on days off to simulate training and play-free days. Practice games, team training and contact workouts give players the opportunity to improve their skills over the course of the season. For the first time in the history of the series, current and former WNBA stars can be challenged in the context of contact workouts in order to acquire new skills for your own path to fame;
There's news online too: With the return of NBA 2K22 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, The W Online offers new ways to connect with the 2K community. The players can now band together before they are looking for players to play together as a team on the court. For playing games in The W Online, you receive Season XP, which you can use to level up and earn new prizes and rewards.
