The expansion “Aftermath” for Mortal Kombat 11 has already been announced, now a gameplay trailer follows that - in the truest sense of the word - blows your guts out of your body. For around three and a half minutes there is brutal non-stop action with Sheeva, Fujin and of course Robocop, the future of crime fighting. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will be released on May 26th.
Aftermath is more than a little DLC. The expansion brings a lot of new content into play. So Mortal Kombat 11 is enriched with a story campaign - its topics: Fraud and trust. The Netherrealms Studios are responsible for the add-on, who also give the brutal beating three more characters: Sheeva, Fujin and Robocop - each with their own move sets and finishers, of course.
The future of crime fighting
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath focuses on the continuation of the story. The guardian of time and protector of the earthly kingdom, Liu Kang, is called to write the story of two worlds. He has two new allies at his side: Sheeva and Fujin. The latter is the brother of Raiden.
How the two fighters fight each other and what Robocop can do, the three and a half minute long trailer with brutal action and plenty of pixel blood:
More exciting than the two allied characters is definitely Robocop's guest appearance, which can be understood as an homage to the classic films. It comes as no surprise that his move set makes you feel nostalgic. Even better, however: In the English original, the beating policeman is spoken by the actor Peter Weller. Weller was the one who embodied Robocop in the first two - and legendary - films.
So that all players benefit from the release of the expansion and not just those who actually run Aftermath. Everyone receives friendships and stage fatalities for free. There are also new arenas, including the classics “Soul Chamber” and “Dead Pool”. If you don't own Mortal Kombat 11 yet, you will be able to buy the base game together with the new expansion in an Ultimate Pack, which then also contains six additional DLCs.
With Mortal Kombat 11, the popular series would be supplemented by another offshoot. Since 1992, when MK was first available in arcades, the brutal beating game has been able to steadily increase its fan base.
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will be released on May 26th for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and Nintendo Switch.
