Kicking off digital tabletop gaming, Krafton has officially launched Moonbreaker Early Access, which is available now on PC and Mac via Steam. Moonbreaker is being developed by Unknown Worlds, creators of the Subnautica series. It's a new turn-based tabletop tactics game presented as a true digital miniatures experience set in an expansive sci-fi universe by author Brandon Sanderson is located.

Incidentally, the story came from the Brandon Sanderson who is behind the Mistborn series, The Stormlight Chronicles and, together with Robert Jordan, behind The Wheel of Time. And it is also Brandon Sanderson who was able to generate over 40 million US dollars as crowdfunding with a Kickstarter campaign for four new books. Record!

“The Early Access launch of Moonbreaker is just the beginning,” said Charlie Cleveland, Unknown Worlds co-founder and game director. “Because Unknown World has always strived to evolve its games throughout Early Access, we want to work closely with Krafton and the Moonbreaker community to make the game truly special and lamb-living. We see today's Early Access launch as the first of many chapters and can't wait for our community to see what we have in store for this game over the coming months."

Every aspect of Moonbreaker was designed to capture the feel of a physical miniatures game without the limitations of the real world. With detailed, intuitive, and constantly evolving painting tools, players can take their units to the next level of customization. Custom palettes, stunning skins, customizable leaderboard banners, and professional digital painting tools create the perfect space for players to flourish. You can paint the units using traditional techniques (but with an undo button!) or admire the rich liveries created by professional miniature painters.

As Moonbreaker enters Early Access, so does the first season to feature a season path. By playing and progressing through the season, players can earn a variety of cosmetic items such as unit skins, paint palettes, decals, squad banner shapes, and the exclusive Death Bot skin for Extilior, one of the three Commanders available at the launch of Early Access are. The first season, which will run for about four months, is available to all players at no additional cost.

Players can also experience the world created by Brandon Sanderson in Moonbreaker: Tales from the Reaches, a special podcast series written by New York Times bestselling author Dan Wells.

The first episode, "Extilior's Story," is available now in-game or on digital podcast platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, iHeart Media, Amazon Podcasts, and Stitcher. The audio dramas transport listeners to various locations in the Reaches - a tiny solar system with moons held in orbit by a scarce resource called Cinder. At the same time, they learn more about the main characters and the world of the game. Moonbreaker's dramas tell a compelling twisted story that will unfold over the years to come. A total of three of these audio dramas will be released in Moonbreaker's first season, and more are planned for each upcoming season.
