During today's Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Digital Event, brave knight Fiorayne announced that the free Title Update 5 will be coming to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak on April 20th.
This update introduces two challenging new monsters to face, including the Risen Shagaru Magala and the looming cataclysm itself, Amatsu. Alongside these imposing foes, the level cap for Anomaly Investigations will be increased, two Risen Elder Dragons will be added to Anomaly Research quests, a Crucible update is coming, new Special Investigations will be revealed, and even more event quests are on the way.

Amatsu, the Elder Dragon
Amatsu is a fearsome elder dragon who controls the weather at his will and, when confronted, can summon storms and lightning that rumor has it can wipe a city completely off the map. As if one God of Destruction wasn't enough for Kamura's The Fierce, the risen Shagaru Magala has managed to use his overwhelming power to dominate the Qurio and infect it into an even more terrifying form. Amatsu will be available at MR10 and the Risen Shagaru Magala will be unlocked at MR180.
Hunters who manage to defeat these massive nuisances will be rewarded with materials and components that they can use to craft new gear with unique abilities.

In addition to battling these titans, fans can also battle two additional Risen Elder Dragons in Anomaly Research quests, and take on even more challenges with the new Anomaly Investigation level cap of 300. All infested materials from these hunts can be used in the Crucible with the new Quirky Fusion feature, which allows for even greater skill customization. You should have your gear perfected before attempting the new Special Investigations, unlocked after completing an anomaly investigation at level 300. These Special Investigations provide monsters with a variety of power-ups, including increased strength and longer-ranged attacks.
More event quests are also on the way, offering various rewards including poses, the Bloodbane set, the Muscular Chest Layered Armor, and even Lagombi Ears. The new Monster & Elgado Music: Chill Version background music features a selection of songs for hunters to relax and study the blade. There are also other new paid DLC options for face paint, layered armor, hairstyles, and more. The voices of Sir Jae and Oboro the trader are made available to the hunters, as is the haircut of the brilliant scientist Bahari.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be released on April 28, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. At launch, content up to Free Title Update 3 (Ver.13) will be included, featuring harrowing encounters like Chaotic Gore Magala. Ver.14 and following will be available after Summer 2023; more information will follow in the future.
