The second free title update adds new monsters, weapons and quests to Monster Hunter Rise, among other things. Further event quests and collaborations will follow in June, July and August. But that's not all: A new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin illuminates the story of the game.

In addition, Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of the Monster Hunter series, and Yasunori Ichinose, the game director of Monster Hunter Rise, revealed more exciting details about the two titles. It adds two new monsters, a new ending to the main story, new quests, new weapons and armor, and much more to the game. In the current trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, a light is shown for the first time that suddenly drives monsters all over the world to a frenzy. It also suggests a connection between the frenzied rays, the disappearance of Rathalos and the birth of Weepingwing Ratha, and recurring characters from Monster Hunter Stories are revealed. Buddy Avinia and the monstie Frostfang help again to unravel a mystery.
In addition to these details about the game's history, the digital event also showed how players collect and improve their monsties. New eggs can be found in every Monstie Horst in the game world. The nests have different sizes and shapes - especially rare eggs often contain monsties with a rare combination of genes. The eggs found can then be hatched in stables so that players can find out which monsties are in them.
The rite of lore also allows players to transfer unique genes from one monstie to another. A team of specialized monsties can be put together by combining genes with the same elements or attacks. Players can also combine the genes of different monsters and create versatile monsties that have abilities of different attack types and elements. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 9th.
As part of today's Monster Hunter digital event and the news about the second free title update for Monster Hunter Rise, there was a first look at the new version of Valstrax, the flagship monster from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Known as the Karmesite Valstrax, this mysterious Elder Dragon can glide through the air and change its wing shape to attack from unusual heights. With the new update Ver. 3.0, the apex monster Zinogre is also added to the game. It shines in new splendor and challenges players with unexpected attacks.
In addition, Monster Hunter Rise will be expanded to include a new quest whose epic showdown with the thunder snake Narva and the wind snake Ibushi brings the story to a new end. The new finale, new monsters, new quests, new weapons and armor and much more will be added to the game for free with the update to version 3.0 tonight. And there is more new content for the game: The DLC Pack 3, which is available today and is available for a fee, offers fashion-loving hunters new language options, gestures, hairstyles, sticker sets as well as background music and much more.
There is also reason to be excited: Players can prepare for further event quests and collaborations in June, July and August. More information will follow at a later date.
