With a creative marketing campaign Pegasus Spiele and Edition Spielwiese drew attention to their October novelty MicroMacro: Crime City: The publisher has been sending out hidden object postcards in the past few weeks without revealing what's behind them. Now the game behind the marketing campaign, MicroMacro: Crime City, has been announced.
MicroMacro: Crime City combines a crime game and a hidden object into one game. The game is intended for one to four players, ages eight and up. A game should last between 15 and 45 minutes. Johannes sich, the author of Cosa Nostra, designed the game and is responsible for the artwork together with Daniel Goll.
No big surprise: Crime City rules crime
The tranquil city of Crime City is teeming with crime. As players, it is our job to solve these crimes. The game contains 16 different cases in five different levels of difficulty. Each case has a certain number of case cards that describe the tasks of the respective case.
The solution to each task is always a scene on the 75 by 110 centimeter game board that the players have to find. A magnifying glass is also included with the game. The guide recommends designating an investigator to read the card texts. The introductory case "The Cylinder" contains four tasks, after which the players should be ready for the main game.

The game is slated for release on October 12th. There is a professional version in the instructions. Also supposed to www.micromacro-spiele.de more mini-cases will be published to ensure even more long-term motivation.
There you will also find a demo case that you can try to see if you like the game. I've already tried the demo case. Some tasks were very easy, while others required a lot of puzzles. All in all, I needed almost ten minutes for the "Hot Fries" case of difficulty level two.
