Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Torus Games have released the first developer diary for Matchpoint – Tennis Championships, which will be released in spring 2022. That's not all: You can try the game as part of the Steam Next Festival that is currently running.
The first video not only contains new details on motion capture, ball physics, rally tactics and working with a former world number one, but also brand new insights into the development of the authentic tennis simulation. Producer Kevin McIntosh and Game Designer Dave McIntosh will discuss the process of developing a "tennis game for tennis fans by real tennis players."
Tennis demo on Steam
For those who want to get their own impression, a first demo is now available as part of the seven-day Steam Next Festival on Steam playable. The demo includes the tutorial as well as the Quick Match game mode with Career, Training and Practice modes, which will also be included in the final version.
If you prefer to compete directly with other tennis aces, you can take on the challenge in the local multiplayer mode, which can also be selected in the demo version. The six licensed tennis players Nick Kyrgios, Kei Nishikori, Andrey Rublev, Benoît Paire, Amanda Anisimova and Heather Watson are now available for gameplay testing.

Matchpoint – Tennis Championships will be available in spring 2022 for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch™ appear.
