Players are "Hunter" - a customizable Marvel hero
2K and Marvel Entertainment gave a first glimpse into the game's genre-defining tactical gameplay and a new side to the legendary Marvel heroes at the world premiere reveal of Marvel's Midnight Suns gameplay. Players experience an unforgettable adventure that delves deep into the darker side of the Marvel universe. In Marvel's Midnight Suns, players take on the role of Hunter - the first customizable original hero in the Marvel Universe, who is awakened from a centuries-long sleep to lead the Midnight Suns, which includes the Avengers, X-Men, Runaways and others. Forced to unite to face Lilith, the mother of demons, who is also the mother of Hunter, the Midnight Suns must rise and face the darkness in the face of fallen allies as the fate of the world arises the game.

As a Hunter you start every day in Marvel's Midnight Suns in the Abbey, the last safe refuge from Lilith's demonic influence, which is also the mystical secret base. Players can move freely through the abbey in third-person shoulder perspective and greet their fellow heroines before setting off on their missions.
Marvel's Midnight Suns features a new, addicting and highly customizable tactical combat system that rewards players who think superhero. In Marvel's Midnight Suns you choose up to three heroes with whom you can go into battle, all abilities are represented by cards. Every hero, including Hunter, has a unique set of cards that can be tailored to suit the player's preferences and style of play. In addition to the cards, players can also use the environment and push, jump and smash their way to victory.
Cards offer the possibility of tactical alignment
"In Marvel's Midnight Suns, you don't learn how to fight or grow stronger over time - the players and their comrades are already legends and must combine everything in their arsenal to stop Lilith," said Jake Solomon, Creative Director at Firaxis. Upon completing missions, you'll return to the Abbey, where you'll develop relationships and strengthen personal connections with some of the most popular Marvel heroes like Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel, and others off the battlefield. As a Hunter, players will see heroes in a new light and unlock additional skills as they deepen friendships through various activities. You get to know the heroes better, for example through dialogue options, joint meetings and gifts.
