Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG today announced a collaboration with CD Projekt Red that will see Geralt of Rivia and other characters from the world of The Witcher appear in Lost Ark as part of a limited-time crossover event. The free event will take place in January for players in Europe, North and South America and Australia; it has already started in Korea.
Geralt, Yennefer and Co with original voices
Familiar characters from The Witcher such as Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer of Vengerberg, Triss Merigold of Maribor, Delphinium and Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, voiced by the voice actors from the original game, are honored in a new story and a new world. In the unique, limited-time event, the new island of White Wolf's Haven is the scene of merriment and celebration - until a mysterious whirlpool suddenly appears and interrupts the celebrations.
While investigating the inexplicable phenomenon, players encounter a visitor from another world and time: Geralt of Rivia, the famous witcher. The meeting sets in motion a series of events as players uncover the origin of the interdimensional vortex and encounter other visitors from another dimension. In this collision of worlds, Lost Ark players team up with characters from The Witcher to solve a mystery that transcends time and space.
During the event, players can get new matching items. New cosmetic items are available in the store, and those who participate in the event will receive new scars, maps, stronghold buildings, emojis, and more.
