The Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo teases a self-sufficient VR gaming headset with a posted image, which will be released soon.
The device, named VR700, will belong to the Legion product family, which is primarily aimed at gamers with high-performance tablets, laptops, smartphones and desktop computers.
Lenovo's new entry into the VR market
Lenovo was already working on various VR glasses in the years 2017 to 2019, such as the Lenovo Mirage Solo or the headset design for the Oculus Rift S. After rather moderate success, the Chinese manufacturer has withdrawn from the VR market to date.
With the VR700, Lenovo is now trying to enter the market without a partner like Oculus. So far, the exact technical specifications and the price of the glasses can only be guessed at. However, it is certain that the VR chip Snapdragon XR 2 will be installed. The release will take place in the next few days together with the Legion Y70 gaming smartphone.
