The Sandbox, a decentralized virtual game world, and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, and TIMEPieces, TIME's NFT community initiative, today announced a partnership to develop "TIME Square," TIME's first-ever goal in the Metaverse. TIME Square will emerge on the TIME campus in the sandbox as a place of encounter, art and commerce, inspired by the visual spirit and energy of New York City's iconic neighborhood.

TIME President Keith A. Grossman unveiled the partnership during The Sandbox event at NFT.NYC while launching an open call for an architect to design TIME Square and reinvent the world-renowned cultural center for the Metaverse . TIMEPieces is reaching out to its vibrant community and Metaverse enthusiasts around the world to find a visionary architect to recreate and redesign the destination as a voxel creation.

TIME Square will be an inclusive environment that enables unique experiences for TIMEPieces owners. The destination serves the TIMEPieces community by providing virtual access to discussions, events, demonstrations of TIME Studios projects, and educational experiences.
