Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner! And that's how he sees the freshly chosen winner of the Children's Game of the Year 2014 category. When it's really haunted, even children who otherwise don't like board games will prick up their ears, because ghosts have always been exciting toys. “Ghosts, Ghosts, Treasure Hunt Masters”, as the winning title is called, also relies on this unbroken trend.

Through variants to the family game

The variety of ghosts, ghosts and treasure hunters makes the game a game for the whole family through simple but effective adjustments. Board games that span generations become entertaining and important pillars for the family. It's nice that social togetherness is conveyed so wonderfully discreetly in this children's game. The rules of the game are simple and easy to understand, so that children under the age of 8 can join the game under the guidance of their parents - provided it doesn't get too scary for them, because spook plays a big role in the children's game of 2014 ..

As you can see in the picture, the game material is lovingly designed and rich in detail and offers visually appealing charms for big and small players, especially with the great figures. The game structure and the preparations are done quickly. This eliminates what feels like endless waiting times for the game to start. I particularly liked the ghost figures, which are based on the classic ghost appearance and are therefore not too "spooky" for children. Individual games last around half an hour (30 minutes) and shine with non-stop fun. There is never a dull moment because the group's strategic approach needs to be well planned. Going it alone rarely leads to success and this leads to a great strengthening of the group feeling.

Conclusion

The rules of the game are kept simple. There are a number of different rooms on the game board that can house treasures - and unfortunately ghosts too. The luck of the dice decides whether ghosts are allowed to linger in the room, i.e. stay alive, or have to return to their ghost world. The spook begins when there are too many ghosts in a room. If 6 rooms are haunted before all the treasures have been found, the game is lost. In addition to strategic moves, players also need a lucky hand.
