What rivalries mean on the soccer field works wonderfully in the games industry: Germany and Holland become a partner. As the organizers have now announced, the Netherlands is the official partner country of Gamescom 2019. For this purpose, Koelnmesse GmbH, game - the association of the German games industry and the Dutch Games Association agreed on a partnership. With Holland, a growing games market could be won as a partner country, which is also home to a large variety of game developers: from indie studios to serious games specialists to producers of international blockbusters. There are also a particularly large number of eSports fans among the Dutch. Holland is therefore an ideal match for Gamescom 2019, both in terms of market potential and the thematic industry focuses. As a partner country, Holland will represent the international exhibitors from August 20 to 24, 2019 on Europe's leading business platform for the games industry.
More than 20 Dutch companies are guests
A total of more than 20 companies will be represented at the Dutch pavilion in the business area (Hall 4.1, Stand A65 / B70). The joint stand will include a diverse delegation of companies and thus reflect the broad landscape of the Dutch games industry. In addition to well-known industry companies from Holland, indies and start-ups as well as other developers and publishers are also represented.
“I am delighted that Holland has a very special partner country for gamescom 2019. Whether as an exhibitor or a visitor: Holland, as our neighboring country, has always been very present at gamescom. We want to build on this this year and hope to be able to welcome even more visitors from our neighboring country in the business and entertainment area, at devcom or also at the gamescom city festival. "Felix Falk, managing director of game

“The Dutch gaming landscape is shaped by hundreds of studios combined with larger, internationally well-established companies. The Netherlands offers a healthy work environment that enables creativity and originality by offering just the right mix of independence and support. For Dutch game developers, gamescom is the most important international event of all and we are therefore very pleased that Holland is the partner country of gamescom 2019. The effect and influence of the fair offers Dutch companies a platform for our further development beyond professionally organized opportunities. Here we can meet lots of playful minds and move things together - in 'the Dutch way' ”.Horst Streck, chairman of the Dutch Games Association.
