Only a few board games are spoken of by experts in the scene with as much reverence and enthusiasm as in the case of Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory by Hegemonic Project Games. On Boardgamegeek, the game is one of the 300 best titles ever, and fans here are also largely positive - some even rave. The title, which can be purchased localized in German via the games offensive, is neither particularly beginner-friendly nor cheap to purchase. It is precisely the special bulkiness of the game that is so well received. But only because the asymmetrical concept is just as good as the reward factor. That means: Once understood, Hegemony manages to motivate players - even in escalating games.
Hegemony in the USA and Canada in trade
A board game about politics and economics – that doesn’t sound particularly sexy at first. But there is currently hardly any other title that can convey basic socio-political knowledge as charmingly and entertainingly as Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory. The premise sounds familiar to many people today: things are not going well for currencies, prosperity and economic life. And at exactly this point the two to four players take their turn. They are intended to give people orientation and the prospect of a better future. Fans take on the role of the working class, the middle class, the capitalists or the state, each with their own tasks and goals.

Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory is now making the leap into overseas sales through the use of Flat River Games: the title will be available regularly in the United States and Canada from October 20th. “Hegemonic Project Games and Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory had an extremely successful appearance at Essen Spiel 2024,” said Jules Vautour, vice president of hobby sales and business development at Flat River Group. “We are proud to partner with Hegemonic Project to bring this highly anticipated product line to the North American market.” The title will be available in local stores and via Amazon, Flat River Games says.
Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory will be available as well as the expansions of the expert board game, which is currently unparalleled, at least in terms of demands.
For Hegemonic Project Games, the journey to the board game tables of the world has only just begun. The creators want to build on the success of their debut - and are therefore already working on a novelty that promises no less "realism" than Hegemony: World Order. This title also becomes political - it's the year 2010. And it's about the balance of power in large nations such as the USA, China, the European Union and also Russia. The new area control board game is also aimed at two to four players and is planned for next year.
