A project by Giant Roc is currently running in the game forge, with the help of which the solo game Halls of Hegra should also appear in German.
Halls of Hegra is a solo game that takes place at the beginning of World War II. Germany recently invaded Norway and overran the defenses there. Only a few resist. In the game you take command of such a group of Norwegian soldiers and volunteers who holed up in the fortress of Hegra and have to defend themselves against a numerically far superior German force.
Mechanic mix in World War II
In a mixture of different game mechanics (worker placement, bag building, area control and tower defense) you have to survive three phases. First you recruit new people and organize supply routes. In the second phase, the village below the fortress will be attacked. The last preparations before the siege take place and your own people must be sent behind enemy lines to secure supplies. In the last phase, the attacks on the fortress begin. It's not just a question of surviving constant bombing raids and infantry attacks, but also of keeping your own people's morale high.
Anyone interested in challenging and atmospheric historical solo games should until April 6th the game forge visit. As a thank you for supporting the project, you can secure your own copy of Halls of Hegra, optionally with matching card sleeves, or a copy of Undaunted: Stalingrad, another game by Giant Roc where you can play in a campaign dueled.
