Fans are eagerly awaiting a second trailer for GTA 6, new information about the gangster game and confirmation of the release date, which was previously set at 2025. A former developer is now fueling expectations even further.
A rapid rise is usually followed by a deep fall, so they say. Fans are now also expecting extremely high results from GTA 6 – and apparently they could even be fulfilled. At least if you believe the statements of Ben Hinchliffe, a former developer at Rockstar Games. Hinchliffe stated in an interview, Grand Theft Auto 6 would “blow people away”.
GTA 6: Standards like RDR2 and GTA 5
The former developer was active at Rockstar Games until 2021 and has worked on games such as Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 and LA Noire. And he was also involved in GTA 6 for a time. His assessments could therefore be given some weight based on these details. Ben Hinchliffe explained to the podcast “GTA VI O'Clock”, Grand Theft Auto 6 would impress with a groundbreaking level of realism.
This is exactly what many fans expect from the open world: a realistic game world. Some particularly enthusiastic players already wanted to see this from the first trailer, pointing out details such as parking spaces for people with disabilities or the variety of hairstyles. The theory was quickly born that Rockstar Games would GTA 6 an environment created that is quite close to the real Florida - the US state is the template for the game world. Expectations are now correspondingly high, and seem to grow with each passing day without official information.
“People will be dealing with it forever”
Ben Hinchliffe has certainly fuelled the fans with his statements. The former developer stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 will set new standards, just as Rockstar Games had done with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. It is now possible that players will receive confirmation in the foreseeable future through a second trailer. According to rumors, a video could around November 6th or on 22 November appear.
The fans' expectations can basically be seen in Red Dead Redemption 2 and the enormously successful open game world. The environments really raised the bar for open-world games in the year of release in 2018 - and even today it is still fun to immerse yourself in the western adventure. In the interview, Hinchliffe referred above all to Rockstar Games' ability to actually develop game series in a meaningful way. The studio's previous releases show the progress impressively: successors were never simply rehashes of the familiar, but always impressed with new approaches.
“People will be playing it forever, just like GTA 5,” explained Ben Hinchliffe. This is in line with the Expectations of GTA 6 fanswho are expecting another game that will be fun for many years to come. Whether that will actually happen remains to be seen.
