Last Thursday, November 03.11.2022rd, XNUMX, Altigi GmbH organized a vernissage with more than a dozen artists from the gaming industry in the offices of the Hamburg games developer Goodgame Studios.
The works of art exhibited and sometimes even created on site were sold to invited guests and the associated proceeds were donated to the non-profit organization GamesForest.Club to protect more than 1000 square meters of forest.
Local bites and art
The evening began with the arrival of the invited party over local bites and chilled drinks while live interactive and audiovisual music punctuated the programme. The artists present - all employed by the development studios of Altigi GmbH, New Moon Production and Goodgame Studios - had exhibited different stylistic works, which the audience admired with great interest. A live street art performance was even carried out in the premises of the Westend Village and an oversized work of art was staged in front of the guests' eyes.
All works by the dedicated artists could be purchased and the proceeds from this will benefit the GamesForest.Club, which will use it to support reforestation projects near Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia and in South American Peru. In addition, the digital "Goodgame Studios / Altigi GmbH" forest will be equipped with newly designed trees to match the event.
"The first Altigi vernissage in the offices of Goodgame Studios was a complete success and we were very pleased to give the participating artists a space for their creativity, while at the same time we can support the Gamesforest.Club as a long-term partner in its projects. We have received consistently positive feedback from the invited guests and are already looking forward to future events of this kind,” says Sebastian Frank, Chief Operating Officer of Altigi GmbH.
The subsequent party with live music and social gatherings was the crowning glory of the event.
Sara Velazquez Garcia has a degree in Fine Arts and is interested in a wide range of artistic fields, such as photography, animation, sculpture and street art. During the vernissage, she created a mural on site, which represents her street art identities Savelga and Creatures of Light combined.
Peter Baldwin has worked as an artist in the games industry for over 20 years and has gained experience in a wide variety of fields. For the opening, he performed a two-hour improvised live electronic music set accompanied by a Blade Runner-style animated video.
