As the operator of the entertainment portal Spielpunkt – Games and entertainment we offer our readers opportunities to participate in competitions at regular intervals.
When selecting the companies that cooperate with us, we pay attention to seriousness and fairness. Competitions from the topics of board games, gaming and hardware, events, literature as well as films and series serve our readers only as added value to our editorial offers.
We are not out to "data capture", nor do we want to urge our website visitors to engage in interactions that they would not, in good conscience, engage in without participating in one of our sweepstakes.
Of course, we are still happy about every single interaction, which we see as an appreciation of our work.
In order to make our competitions transparent, fair and legally valid, we ask participants to read the following competition terms and conditions carefully. If you still have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Terms and Conditions
Participation in sweepstakes Spielpunkt – Board games and gaming, hereinafter referred to as operator or organizer, is always free of charge and is based on these conditions of participation.
Expiry of the raffle
Participants can find the duration of the competition in the respective description of the competition. Within the specified time periods, users are given the opportunity to take part in the competition free of charge online.
Participation
In order to participate in one of the competitions, it is necessary to carry out the action required in the description of the competition. Participation is only possible within the participation period. Submissions received after the closing date will not be considered for the drawing.
Only one action performed per participant counts to determine the winner.
Eligible persons
Eligible are natural persons who have their place of residence in the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria or Switzerland and have reached the age of 14.
Participation is not limited to customers of the organizer and does not depend on the purchase of goods or services.
Should a participant be restricted in his business ability, it requires the consent of his legal representative.
Not eligible to participate in the competition are all persons and employees of the operator involved in the conception and implementation of the raffle and their family members. In addition, the operator reserves the right, at its discretion, to exclude persons from participation if justified reasons exist, for example (1) in the event of manipulation in connection with access to or implementation of the competition, (2) in the event of violations of these conditions of participation, (3) in the event of unfair behavior or (4) in the event of false or misleading information in connection with participation in the competition.
Determination of the winners
The winners will be determined after the closing date as part of a random raffle among all participants.
Attention: If the competition is linked to a task, only those participants who have carried out the task correctly will be entered into the raffle.
The winners of the raffle will be informed promptly of the prize via a separate email or an instant message on social media. The prize will be sent exclusively to the winner or to the legal representative of the minor winner. An exchange, collection by the customer and a cash payment of the prize are not possible.
Any costs incurred for shipping within Germany will be borne by the operator. Additional costs associated with claiming the prize will be borne by the winner. The winner is responsible for any taxation of the profit.
If the winner does not respond within a period of 14 days after being requested to do so, the prize can be transferred to another participant.
End of the competition
The organizer expressly reserves the right to end the competition without prior notice and without giving reasons.
This applies in particular to any reason that would disrupt or prevent the competition from running according to plan.
Privacy notice
For the participation in the raffle the indication of personal data is necessary. The participant assures that the information provided by him about the person, in particular first, last name and email address are true and correct.
The organizer points out that all personal data of the participant will not be passed on to third parties without their consent, nor will they be allowed to use them. The e-mail addresses entered may be used by the organizer to send newsletters and correspond to the mailing list of Spielpunkt.net community. (Note: Don't worry, we hate SPAM too and send a maximum of three newsletters to our subscribers per month),
In the event of a win, the winner agrees to the publication of his name and place of residence in the advertising media used by the organizer. This includes the announcement of the winner on the operator's website and its social media platforms.
The participant can revoke his declared consent at any time. The revocation must be sent in writing to the organizer's contact details in the imprint area. After revoking the consent, the collected and stored personal data of the participant will be deleted immediately.

Applicable Law
Questions or complaints in connection with the competition are to be directed to the operator.
The operator's competition is subject exclusively to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The judges' decision is final.
Severability
Should any provision of these conditions of participation be or become wholly or partially ineffective, this shall not affect the validity of these conditions of participation.
Instead of the ineffective provision, the legally permissible regulation applies that comes closest to the economic sense and purpose expressed in the ineffective provision. The same applies if there is a loophole in these conditions of participation.
