ROG Phone II from Asus with a powerful base

Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the new ROG Phone II. It is the world's first gaming smartphone with the new Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. The basis for the improved new edition is provided by the previous model, which was presented for the first time last year. In the new version, the device should be equipped with additional innovative features.

However, Asus will only announce the exact specifications and details of the gaming smartphone in the coming weeks. "But it is already certain that the improved performance of the Snapdragon 855 Plus will catapult the overall performance to a new level," the company promises in the announcement.

The Kryo 485 CPU in the Snapdragon 855 Plus will run at up to 2,96 GHz. The Adreno 640 GPU is also clocked 15 percent faster than in the current Snapdragon 855 processor.

With this powerful base and new functions, Asus wants to show that the ROG Phones can meet the special requirements of mobile gaming. Asus does not only want to announce detailed information in the next few weeks, information on the price and availability of the ROG Phone II will only be published at a later, unspecified, point in time.
