The day tickets for private visitors for the gamescom-Saturday, 26 August, are sold out. Evening tickets for Saturday are still available. Tickets for the other days are also still available online for both private visitors (Thursday, Friday and Sunday) and for trade visitors in the official ticket shop of the gamescom .
Around two weeks before the trade fair in Cologne, tickets for what is expected to be the busiest day are already sold out. Fans who wanted to visit Gamescom on Saturday but hesitated when buying tickets are now left empty-handed - or at least have to switch to one of the other days of the trade fair.
Gamescom is bigger again this year
The gross exhibition area will grow by 2022 square meters compared to 10.000 to a total of 230.000 square meters – a new record. Gamescom is also continuing to grow in internationality: the exhibitors will come from 2023 countries in 60, up from 2022 in 53. The proportion of exhibitors from abroad has increased by three percentage points to 78 percent compared to the previous year. Gamescom 2022 had already taken over almost the entire Koelnmesse area - in 2023 the event will be even larger in terms of area. The growth to a total of 230.000 square meters comes, among other things, from the addition of Hall 1, in which this year the “social area” with creator co-working space and signing area is located. The entertainment area and the indie area are also growing.
To the already gamescom Companies registered for 2023 include: 9GAG, Aerosoft, Amazon Games, Amazon Prime, AMD, Assemble Entertainment, astragon Entertainment, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks, Crunchyroll, Devolver Digital, ESL FACEIT Group, Focus Entertainment, Frontier Developments, GIANTS Software, Headup Games, Hoyoverse, The LEGO Group, Level Infinite, MINI, Netflix, Nexon, Nintendo, Pearl Abyss, PLAION, Raw Fury, Rocket Beans TV, Samsung, SEGA, Star Wars Ahsoka (Disney+), Team17, TikTok, Ubisoft and Xbox. Numerous other companies have already been announced, but will be communicated at a later date.
The wide-reaching show formats also contribute to gamescom's great international relevance. The big opening show gamescom: Opening Night Live is once again produced by Geoff Keighley and, like previous years, is already enjoying great interest from many games companies. The gamescom studio, which runs throughout the week and follows event events on a daily basis and broadcasts them digitally to the world, will again be produced in 2023 with the media company IGN.
