Forza Motorsport 8: Release may not be so soon

Forza Motorsport 8 is one of the top Xbox Series X|S titles that fans have been waiting for. And they will probably have to continue to be patient. Because: The release of the new entry in the racing game series will probably be nothing, at least in the spring. 

Microsoft recently introduced a number of important launch titles, including Redfall and Minecraft Legends. And there were also new details about Forza Motorsport 8, but there was also a small disappointment for fans. A specific release date was not mentioned. 

Forza Motorsport 8: Release sometime in 2023

When Forza Motorsport 8 was announced last year, it was said that the racing sim would have a launch window in spring 2023. In the current presentation by Microsoft as part of the “Developer Direct”, however, the current year 2023 was only mentioned in general terms. This led to many question marks among fans. In addition, there have recently been rumors that Forza Motorsport 8 might not be released until the second half of the year.

Because a specific release date had not been mentioned at the first major event at the start of the year, the spring date hardly seemed realistic any more. Now Xbox boss Phil Spencer spoke to IGN about the launch of Forza Motorsport 8. He didn't really want to talk about the release, butspender let it be known that the developers at Turn 10 are working hard on the game behind the scenes and that a release is being made -Date of Forza Motorsport 8 would call if the release is actually closer. Spencer says quality is key and that's what you look for in a series like Forza Motorsport. 

After all, Phile Spencer again assured that Forza Motorsport 8 would be released in 2023 – when exactly remains unclear. All in all, it doesn't sound like a short-term release in the next few weeks. 

Forza Motorsport is in development for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
