In the coming year 2025, the Berlin Board Game Convention will celebrate its tenth anniversary. What started out as a modest beginning in the auditorium of a Berlin elementary school with 200 visitors has become a board game convention that is firmly established in Germany with 16.000 visitors.
For the special occasion of the anniversary, the organizers were able to persuade the well-known board game illustrator Klemens Franz to once again design the motif for the Con logo. "Klemens Franz also designed the very first logo of the Berlin Con in 2015 and has been closely associated with the event ever since," the organizers are delighted to say.
ticket presale starts
Advance ticket sales will begin on September 24th at 18 p.m. with the traditional Early Bird phase. All tickets will be available at a reduced price until the end of October.
In contrast to last year, there are no quotas for the early bird prices, so every ticket including the badge is guaranteed to be discounted until the end of October. "In 2025, we will be offering a new type of badge that allows holders to be among the first to visit the popular flea market on Saturday morning," said the organizers. This is a reaction to the extreme queues this year. The aim is to avoid unnecessary waiting times as much as possible in 2025.
"For a small additional charge, we are now offering special tickets for the first three hours that the flea market is open on Saturday, which are limited to 150 tickets per hour," the organizers say. The flea market will then only open to all visitors from around 13 p.m. On Sunday, the flea market is already open to all visitors in the morning.
At the same time, the area of the flea market will be increased and the lunch break will be significantly shortened in order to enable as many participants as possible to visit the flea market.
