System Shock Remake finally has a release window. Nightdive Studios has been working on the game for a long time and has now officially confirmed the release date: the revised version of System Shock will be released in March. 

The remake of System Shock entered the final development phase last spring. Almost exactly a year later, the official release is imminent. After a long time: After all, the remake had already been announced in November 2015 – but development was then delayed several times. In 2018 there was even a break.

System Shock: Kickstarter Update

In an update notification on System Shock's Kickstarter page, developers Nightdive Studios officially confirmed that the title will now be released in March 2023 for PC and consoles. But you didn't get any more precise.

It's not the first time the developers have unveiled a release window, though. This time, however, it should be different because the scope of the project is no longer increasing. This has happened previously during development, according to Nightdive Studios, causing delays. The publisher Prime Matter had given more time for fine-tuning and improvements anyway.

"The overall scope and scope of the project have evolved dramatically, and with Prime Matter's support we have been able to focus on quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and localization improvements - these are the final major steps toward the release of a game we're excited about." everyone is incredibly proud,” says Nightdive Studios. Various aspects of the game could thus be improved.

Some of the improvements are new enemy variants in later game levels, an overhaul of the citadel, an entirely new enemy type and full dismemberment system, and adjusted weapon effects.

System Shock Remake will be released for PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
