The corks should pop at Electronic Arts: FIFA 19 won the race for the title of the best-selling PC and console game in Germany in 2018, ahead of competitors such as Red Dead Redemption from Rockstar Games and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe from Nintendo.

FIFA inherits FIFA

Even if pure sales charts do not make a direct statement about the quality of a video game, good sales are still an important marker for connoisseurs and fans of the games industry.

FIFA 18's top ranking in the previous year's charts already shows how popular the football simulation is among video players. Now FIFA 19, the current version of the game, is inheriting its predecessor and occupies first place among the 20 best-selling PC and console games in Germany in 2018.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar Games) was able to secure second place in the annual charts, ahead of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo). Far Cry 5 (Ubisoft), Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (Activision) and Marvel's Spider-Man (Sony Interactive Entertainment) follow in the other places.

The - more or less big - surprise on the side: The Sims 4 is the best-selling PC game in Germany.
