Despite the sometimes fluctuating quality, Madden NFL is the best American football simulation on the market. The game about the eponymous and now deceased star coach has many fans around the world who look forward to the annual new editions. There is a lot to offer in terms of gameplay and appearance - the only thing fans criticize is the courage to take risks. In other words: the developers usually work and optimize on a detailed level, so there are usually no major changes in Madden NFL. A rumor has now caused a big surprise.
Job advertisement causes speculation
Is Madden NFL coming as an MMO? A Reddit user has discovered a job advertisement in which a position is advertised that revolves around experience in the development of an MMO. This small detail can be found in the bonus section of the advertisement. This is of course fueling speculation. And the rumors are well founded, because why else would EA Are you looking for a Technical Director who should have exactly this specialist knowledge?
Officially, of course, there is no information about a possible MMO for Madden NFL. EA Sports also does not need to develop an MMORPG in the traditional sense. Rather, the multiplayer concept could simply be more central to future entries in the sports game series. It is questionable what a "Madden NFL MMO" could even look like - but strengthening the multiplayer approach would not be entirely unrealistic. If there are unexpected major changes to Madden NFL, fans will probably not know about it until summer of next year at the earliest. Madden NFL 26 will traditionally be released just in time for the start of the new NFL season.
