As announced by Rockfish Games, Everspace 2 will start its closed alpha on June 15th on Valve's gaming platform Steam. The ambitious Hamburg developers have thus reached a further milestone on the way to the release of the space shooter, which - after a postponement - is to start in Early Access in December of this year. The game is available for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Everspace 2: Varied “Planetary Combat”
The ambitious developers have you Focus firmly on the goal, despite Corona and the associated adjustments, such as working in the home office. The plans of Rockfish Games are ambitious for Everspace 2, the success of the debut would like to surpass it. The screenshots, gameplay sequences and trailers published so far show that the space shooter will not only be visually more impressive and larger, but also that it will also be much more detailed in terms of the RPG elements.
A new trailer was recently shown as part of the IGN show, which presents “planetary combat”:
Promising, this is how one could aptly describe what has been seen so far. This also applies to the battles near the planet's surfaces. With the start of the closed alpha of Everspace 2, players who have supported the RPG space shooter via Kickstarter will have around ten hours of content at their disposal - including some story content and the opportunity to explore the world.
Exciting: Pilots will also be able to try out their first boss fight. Players can reach the maximum level cap of ten during the first alpha phase. Initially, only the English language version is available, but there are plans for localization.
Another new trailer on the occasion of the start of the closed alpha was shown as part of the PC Gaming Show by PCGamer:
Everspace 2 will be released for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4. The predecessor was also recently implemented for Nintendo Switch. Further information on the game and directly from the developers is available online at www.everspace.game/de.
