We would like to inform you about recommended projects at Kickstarter, Spieleschmiede and Co. at regular intervals. In this article we introduce you to Movie Empire, The Artemis Project and Medieval Realms.

Movie Empire

Movie Empire by Stimulus Games is a medium-weight strategic worker placement game with a card-collecting element, which is about cinema and film. The author Karsten Schulmann is known for the graphics from the social deduction game Human Punishment. Language-independent material is planned. Fortunately, German printed instructions have already been activated.

In Movie Empire the players are junior producers who work for a renowned Hollywood producer and are trying to establish themselves in the industry. Blockbusters and B-movies have to be produced and marketed well. The boss should also be impressed, as he can exert influence. There is another component in the game, an optional module with a “Take that” variant that offers variety.

We think the game will be worth it. In addition, it will probably only be produced in this campaign and will not be reprinted. You can take part in the Kickstarter campaign for 35 euros plus 4 euros shipping. Almost 5.500 euros are still missing to the goal. Movie Empire is for 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, and a game will last 1 to 2 hours.

The Artemis project

The Artemis project is currently looking for supporters for German localization in the Spieleschmiede. It is a connoisseur game from the newly founded publisher Grimspire and its English version has already been funded by the Grand Gamers Guild on Kickstarter.

In The Artemis project we are on the frozen Jupiter moon Europa, which wants to be made habitable. The players each lead their own team of settlers and compete against each other. The central game elements are dice placement, resource management and construction.

There are three pledge levels available: The basic game alone is available for 48 euros. For 2 euros more, the supporters receive two miniatures that are actually Kickstarter-exclusive, but could be nicely "talked about" by the game company. For 55 euros you can get everything together plus a mini extension. The game is for 1 to 5 players, ages 12 and up, and should have a playing time of 60 to 75 minutes.

Medieval Realms

Medieval Realms is a strategic Eurogame for 2 to 5 players, ages 14+. Kickstarter currently offers it in various languages, including German. In it, the player leads his own kingdom as a king and tries to build and strengthen his empire by collecting resources.

The campaign has a single pledge level: You can participate for 39 euros plus just under 13 USD in shipping. The playing time should be 60 to 75 minutes.
