Warcraft Rumble offers more than just quests in PvE. In dungeons and raids, the developers have incorporated activities that fans of World of Warcraft know well.
As with World of Warcraft, raids and dungeons in Warcraft Rumble serve as replayable content that pits game fans against iconic bosses and enemies borrowed from the world of warfare. The idea: Take your own army into the RTS arena in tough battles against deadly enemies.
Warcraft Rumble: Relics in dungeons give bonuses
A particularly cool idea in the dungeons of Warcraft Rumble are the so-called relics. The items are selected before entering an instance and then grant various bonuses. This could be, for example, more damage or a specific buff for a leader.
Each dungeon consists of three maps that need to be mastered. Annoying: If you are defeated during the dungeon run, you have to start over. You should therefore act with caution and tactical cleverness. However, if you have successfully completed the instance, there are good rewards that depend on the leader with whom you completed the dungeon. The units receive bonus properties and upgrades. So it's worth it!
Unlock dungeons in Warcraft Rumble
Would you like to get into the dungeons? Exactly. However, Warcraft Rumble doesn't make it that easy. The instances must first be activated. Simply experiencing instanced adventures at the start of the game doesn't work. The developers require some experience with the game - but the dungeons in Warcraft Rumble are unlocked more or less automatically as you progress. Anyone who plays the PvE campaign will have access to the challenges. It is necessary to collect 30 of the seals, which you should have done after defeating Raene Wolfrunner.
In any case, the dungeons are not difficult to find: once unlocked, you can access the instances and later raids directly via a tab at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on “Events” takes you to the selection. The only downer at the moment: The dungeons of Warcraft Rumble are purely solo content. You can therefore only tackle the instances alone.
What's particularly fair is that the dungeons are part of the free-2-play gaming experience; so they cost nothing.
Tips: How to defeat bosses in Warcraft Rumble dungeons
Basically, the game principle doesn't change in the dungeons either: the tower defense concept remains. On one side is the opponent, on the other side is the player's army. However, the maps differ significantly in terms of the mechanisms and the design of the paths and traps and therefore always require adapted strategies. The bosses also have their unique abilities, which is why you have to adapt your strategy from map to map anyway.
Important: At the beginning you should tap the boss and the units with your finger to view relevant information about the special abilities. From this you can derive tactical considerations right from the start in order to set up the army in the best possible way.
The layout of the map itself also has a major influence on the course of the game. This is especially true for units that suddenly receive buffs, meaning they can get to the player's base more quickly. You should first get to know the different synergies between bosses, units and card mechanisms. There are usually defeats at first, but at some point you see through the processes. Ultimately, the dungeons in Warcraft Rumble are also an invitation from the developers to experiment.
Because the dungeons change weekly, it will take some time to see the instances of the different factions. The rotation therefore requires constant adjustments to the army, so that you won't get bored any time soon. The dungeons ultimately enrich Warcraft Rumble enormously.
