Disney Plus Calendar: New Series and Movies for November 2020

In November 2020, Disney Plus will provide its viewers with an exciting program. The streaming service ensures with series and film highlights, such as the second season of the popular series “The Mandalorian”, but also with the book adaptations of the “Edelstein Trilogy” and with the brand new series “The Muppets” exciting entertainment in front of the TV at home. Admittedly, the first season “The Mandalorian” was not only a highlight for Star Wars fans and is difficult to describe in a few words. Nevertheless, we try to give you a brief overview of the first season of the series and look forward to today's (October 30th) beginning of the second season:

The Star Wars series "The Mandalorian" takes place after the death of Emperor Palpatine and the annihilation of the second Death Star and thus the battle station of the galactic empire, on the remains of which the new republic was formed. On the outskirts of the new republic, bounty hunters are up to mischief who would do almost anything legal and illegal for their clients if a few credits were awarded.

"The Mandalorian" is about "Mando", who accepts an initially simple job as a bounty hunter. This comes from a shady client who is leaning towards the Empire. He promises him a bounty for finding a 50-year-old person. As a foretaste, "Mando" will receive one of the rare "Beskar Ingots" that are also used to craft Mandalorian armor. An adventurous and dangerous journey begins that leads him straight to "Baby Yoda" ("the child"), who does not appear to be 50 years old, quite the opposite. At the same time there is a reversal of conscience in "Mando". "Baby Yoda" becomes "Mando's" protégé, which some would love to get their hands on. The imperialists ahead of everyone.

"The Greatest Showman" is a mixture of a musical and a film biography. The film tells the story of the father of the family, PT Barnum, who, out of a desperate work situation, decides to found a circus. But his goal is not a simple circus as everyone knows him, he has an artistic vision in mind. With excellent acrobats, curious artists, dancers and theatrical art. In order to achieve this, the theater maker Phillip Carlyle, established in the art scene, lends a hand.

"The Greatest Showman" was nominated in three categories for the Golden Globe Awards 2018, the song from the film "This Is Me" was named the best film song.

The film trilogy, "Rubinrot", "Saphirblau" and "Smaragdgrün", is based on the book trilogy of the same name by the author Kerstin Gier. The Simpsons have been our loyal companions since they were first broadcast on German-language television programs. In 1991 we didn't miss an episode of The Yellow Comic Family. In all of their years of service they lost neither their humor nor their unmistakable charm. The 31st season is right at the top of our to-watch list.

This season, Homer is ruthlessly paraded in front of the camera by sports journalist Anger Watkins. Injured, Marge convinces him to stream his own sports show on the internet. An oversight occurs: A video of a dispute between Bart and Homer, in which there is also a physical issue, is uploaded. But the Simpsons seem to be serving a popular trend. They become internet celebrities. Inspired by their success, they don't think that everything in life has consequences.
