As part of the Lorecast livestream event, Ravensburger revealed details about “Skylight”, the fifth set of the “Disney Lorcana” trading card game. The new set not only brings new characters into the game, but also further develops the game mechanics in the new set. Players also get a glimpse of what’s coming next on Disney Lorcan after the power-hungry Glimmer is defeated by Ursula
The new products will initially be available in participating Organized Play stores from August 9, 2024 and in stores from August 23, 2024. Ravensburger has also announced a foil promo card with alternative artwork for the new "Skylight" set. This will be included in the new version of the game "Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil" for a limited time from September. The game with the included card will be available in stores from September.

To celebrate the victory over Ursula, who was defeated in the previous set, Ursula Returns, a lavish celebration is held in Skylight. While most of Lorcana takes part in the activities surrounding the grand celebrations, a new adventure begins: the Luminari are looking for a way to repair the damage Ursula caused to the Great Illuminarium, which is spreading further and further.
In "Skylight" characters like Vanellope von Schweetz and Fix-It Felix Jr. from Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph" will appear for the first time. Players can also look forward to new game mechanics, a continuation of the story and beautiful artwork - charged with an energy that intensifies both the celebration and the gaming experience. Details on the mechanics and additional cards will be announced closer to release. With the new cards, players can use existing "Disney LorcanTCG decks or play them alongside the previously released sets The First Chapter, Rise of the Tideformers, The Inklands, and Ursula Returns.

The new "Skylight" set contains two starter decks with combinations of the ink colors emerald/steel or amethyst/ruby (€19,99), booster packs with additional cards (€5,99) and a new "Luminari Treasure Chest" (€54,99). The new accessories include two new play mats with the motifs Mirabel from Disney's "Encanto" and the glimmer "Belle - Consummate Mystic" from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" (€19,99). In addition, a new 9-compartment collector's album (€24,99) with motifs by "Disney Lorcana" artist Nicholas Kole, as well as card sleeves (€9,99) and deck boxes (€5,99) with motifs from Disney's Tiana and Aladdin will be available. "Disney Lorcana" promo card in Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil
A special version of one of the new cards from the "Skylight" set will be included in the game "Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil". The game will be released in September 2024 and lets players take on the roles of the most popular Disney villains such as Maleficent, Captain Hook, Ursula and Prince John. The game is ideal for beginners thanks to the video instructions and revised game mechanics. When making the optimizations, Ravensburger incorporated both feedback from fans and insights from the Ravensburger team.
To celebrate the release of the game in stores, the Disney Villainous team has designed a card from the “Skylight” set featuring Prince John in Villainous style. The “Disney Lorcan“ Promo card can only be found in copies of “Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil” where this is marked with a corresponding sticker on the box.
