Things have become a little quieter around Ravensburger Disney Lorcana. This is mainly because fans are currently just playing and waiting for new content. It could be the familiar calm before the storm. Because: With the rise of the flood figures, the new Disney Lorcana set is already in the starting blocks.
Ravensburger management had already announced at the gaming fair in Essen that they were working behind the scenes to meet current demand. So things have become quieter Disney Lorcan, but this obviously hasn't changed much about the popularity of the still new trading card game.
Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Flood Creatures colors
Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Flood Figures - that's the title of the second wave of cards, which Ravensburger will be rolling out in specialized toy stores from November 17th and in other retailers from December 1st. There will then be over 200 new trading cards, of course also particularly rare copies.
New characters that were not present in the first wave will also be added to the trading card game, including Winnie the Pooh and Tiana as well as numerous characters from “The Jungle Book”, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “Basil, the Great Mouse Detective” , “Pinocchio,” “Zoomania,” and “Raya and the Last Dragon.” If you are a beginner and may be unsure: All cards from the new set can be played together with those from the first set. They can also be used to update existing card decks and improve them if necessary. The latter especially because with “Robust” a completely new strategic card ability comes into play: The ability indicates how much additional damage the characters can withstand.
What also continues is the story of Disney Lorcan – even if fans primarily play games with their cards: there is one behind the trading card game real story, which Ravensburger will tell in bits and pieces. The idea: The Rise of the Flood Forms delves into the origins of the Flood Form Glimmers, Disney characters who were transformed by a mysterious flood of ink. The players and images of the Disney characters go on a journey together away from the Great Illuminarium, which was damaged by a flood of magical ink. The six inks (amethyst, amber, ruby, sapphire, emerald and steel) were released by the flood and mixed together. When Legendary or Dreamform Glimmers encountered this mixed ink, a force transformed them into Floodform Glimmers. The magical ink poured out of the Illuminarium, taking with it precious legends, including Disney's King Triton's mighty trident.
The new set "Disney Lorcan: Rise of the Flood Figures” contains two starter decks with the combinations amber/sapphire or amethyst/steel (19,99 euros) as well as booster packs (5,99 euros). Also available will be a new Illumineer's Trove (54,99 euros) as well as new play mats (19,99 euros) and card sleeves (9,99 euros).
