Asmodee Digital and Flaming Fowl Studios have announced that Gloomhaven – Jaws of the Lion, Gloomhaven Digital's first DLC, is now available to all players on PC and macOS.
In this adaptation of the board game of the same name, players can take on a new challenge with more than 30 hours of new content, including four new mercenaries, new enemies and all 25 scenarios from the original board game.
New scenarios, new mercenaries
All 25 scenarios from the original board game are now available. The linked scenarios will take players into a gripping and sinister story set in the undercity of Gloomhaven. The new Jaws of the Lion scenarios can be played in the story campaign once players have successfully completed the second scenario of the base game. Players can choose four new mercenaries for their guild in the Story and Guild Master campaigns, each with a distinctly different play style.
The Red Guard is a Valrath who was banished from his land and fights as a mercenary for redress. Armed with the signature chain sickle and shield, this mercenary can manipulate the battlefield to protect allies and take out multiple enemies at once. The strange weapon can hold enemies back before attacking at the perfect moment. A Quatryl is usually responsible for explosions - and for most destroyed buildings the demolition officer. This mercenary only has 9 cards, but only a few are burned. Capable of augmenting her body with a dangerously powerful device, she is not to be underestimated. She can destroy any obstacle or enemy with devastating close-range strikes. The ax thrower is a horrific and ruthless killing machine with a unique mechanism to hunt down its victims. With plenty of fast maps and mobility, this mercenary can hit single targets hard from long range. After a horrifying experience with the void as a child, the Voidkeeper learned to use these to protect others, but also to drive enemies insane. This mercenary is one of the best supports as she can provide more actions to the team.
From fanatics to chaos demons, players can test their skills against ten new enemies. 22 new events present players with difficult decisions. There are ten new items to be found in the treasure chest that players will discover on their journey. 24 new combat objectives will be added to the game, giving players new opportunities.
