Which toys are ahead of the game in 2019? The top ten hit list of the Spielwaren Handelsverband Spielwaren (BVS), which is intended to honor some of the best toys, provides guidance for end consumers and retailers. With a total of 120.000 new products that were presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, the industry impressed children of all ages. The best in the toy world have now been nominated for the top ten toys: With 36 toys, the BVS is presenting the most promising innovations. The toy trade jury will select the best toys of 2019 from the nominated toys, which will be prominently presented to the public at a press conference in December 2019.
As part of the joint marketing campaign, retailers and brand manufacturers present the most attractive products in their own Christmas wishes catalog and on a poster in toy retailers. Nominee products can be recognized by their own nomination label on product packaging and in retail advertising. Once again there is a head-to-head race for the best toys.
Toys: Experts are looking for highlights of 2019
The "Top 10 Toys" has been the hit list for toys and leisure items in Germany for over 15 years. The selection of the highlights of the year is made by the Federal Association of Toy Retailers (BVS) together with a jury of experts from the toy trade (idee + spiel, SPIEL & SPASS, SPIELZEUG-RING, SmythsToys, VEDES). Since 2003, toy professionals have been choosing, in their opinion, outstanding new products and innovations that have what it takes to become bestsellers. The nominated toys include Playmobil play worlds as well as innovative Lego sets, but also dolls, board games for children or fun sports items.

The BVS represents the interests of the toy retail trade of all sales channels and company sizes in Germany. It is affiliated with the German Trade Association (HDE), whose regional associations provide the delegates to the BVS general assembly. Extraordinary members are the most important associations in the industry.
