On December 11, video games will be awarded the German Developer Prize 15 in Cologne in 2019 categories. The jury has now announced the titles that are eligible for the award. A total of 96 titles from various genres were submitted, including the games “Trüberbrook” and “Through the Darkest of Time”, the latter title being on the “most wanted” list.

The nominees in the three categories “Best Studio”, “Best Publisher” and “Best Game” were determined by a vote of the 100-strong jury. Up to seven jurors came together for the nominees in each of the ten subject categories. In addition, prizes will be given to the first place winners in the Ubisoft Newcomer Awards in the “Start-Ups” and “Students” categories. Ubisoft will announce the nominees for these two categories at a later date.
The award is intended to honor the work of the game developer
The achievements of computer game developers have been recognized since 2014. This year, too, there are 96 titles on the nomination lists. In the end, 100 jurors decide which video games receive the coveted awards. The German Developer Award 2019 is awarded in 15 categories, including classics such as "Best Game" or "Best Sound". In addition, developers are recognized for special social commitment or innovations. The most anticipated titles also include “Through the Darkest of Time' by Paintbucket Games.
This year's favorites for an award include the free VR adventure game “Blautop VR - Mystery of the Lau”, the adventure game “Trüberbrook”, the skill game “Lonely Mountains: Downhill”, the building game “Islanders”, the action-packed simulation “Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor "as well as the building game" Anno 1800 "and the action role-playing game" The Surge 2 ".
