Those who still had hopes that the CCXP Cologne could take place this year will now be disappointed: The second edition of the new convention in the Cologne exhibition halls is canceled. Reason: The spread of the corona virus and the uncertain situation for organizers. The trade fair event will not be rescheduled this year, but there is already a fixed date for 2021.
No planning security: CCXP Cologne 2020 is canceled
The management of Koelnmesse has decided to cease trade fair operations by the end of June 2020, which also affects CCXP Cologne, which would have taken place in Cologne for the second time this year. The CCXP Cologne was planned for the period from June 26th to 28th.
The decision is supported by the city's crisis management team, which also recommended canceling all trade fairs during this period at its meeting on March 18. The management of Koelnmesse states that the planning security for Koelnmesse, but for the participants in the trade fair events, is impaired and in fact "far beyond the previous scope".
For safety reasons and because of the complicated travel situation, it was not possible to hold the trade fair "in the usual quality", according to the organizers. Incidentally, the CCXP Cologne will not be made up for: the trade fair will be canceled this year without replacement. The organizers have set the date for the coming year: the CCXP Cologne 2021 will take place from June 25th to 27th, 2021.
With this, Koelnmesse wants to create clarity for its customers and an appropriate preparation time. The feedback from industry representatives was positive.
