Hideo Kojima's latest work, Death Stranding, will also appear for PC after the recent Playstation release in early summer 2020. Publisher 505 Games has now confirmed that the video game will be published in parallel in the Epic Store and via Steam. Contrary to the fears of fans, Death Stranding is not an exclusive title.

Death Stranding for PC is already available for pre-order. Even if Hideo Kojima's exceptional game will not appear platform-exclusive, players only have the choice between the Epic Store or Steam. Other sales platforms, such as GOG, are not served. Death Stranding for PC will probably sell well: first evaluations of the console variant suggest a convincing, albeit idiosyncratic video game.
Death Stranding appears parallel on Steam and in the Epic Store
The video game developed by Hideo Kojima is currently one of the most anticipated PC titles and is heating up the mood in advance, such as Cyberpunk 2077. Players take on the role of Sam Porter Bridges, who in turn is from "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus is impersonated.
In a near future setting it is - once again - to protect humanity from extinction. Strange creatures roam the barren landscape. Why this is so and what the background story is actually about, players at Death Stranding have to discover for themselves.
The seven and a half minute long, visually stunning launch trailer shows a lot, but does not reveal anything:

The game doesn't rely on mere storm effects, but rather on an initially opaque story with lots of mystery elements. The presentation benefits from the fact that numerous familiar faces are represented in the game, including Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Léa Seydoux (Spectre). But Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water), the comedian and television presenter Conan O'Brien (TBS' Conan) and the games industry personality Geoff Keighley, the creator of “The Game Awards” are also part of the cast.
In any case, Norman Reedus is convinced of Kojima's creation. In one Interview with the magazine "The Hollywood Reporter" he speaks out for Death Stranding. Silent Hill's cessation has allowed the new project to create a much better game. Reedus also says that Hideo Kojima has the mind of a genius.
Death Stranding will be released for PC in early summer 2020, Kojima Productions confirmed on Twitter. The game has been available for Playstation since November 8th.
