Just in time for CES 2022, LG announced its new TV models. Among them is the G2 model, the successor to the LG G1 with Evo panel, which is currently very well rated in reviews. The model from 2021 is currently available at an affordable price.

The LG G1 with Evo panel is one of the best televisions for gaming not only because of its modern OLED technology: the device also supports it HDMI 2.1 and thus a high transfer rate that is ideal for owners of an Xbox Series X or Playstation 5. You particularly benefit. The LG television also manages a frame rate of 120 Hertz, plus Dolby Vision IQ.
What the LG G1 lacks is only HDR10 +, which is incomprehensible in the price range, but overall only a small flaw for the television, which otherwise has been featured in many reviews.
As an OLED device, the model impresses with its black values, which are actually black: the organic pixels switch off completely. The comparison with a conventional LED TV is therefore considerable.
The picture comes close to reference quality and even the sound is overall good for a flat OLED television. The lack of HDR10 + and the image performance in bright rooms with regard to the displayed dark details are disadvantageous. And: Stand feet would have to be ordered separately, the LG G1 OLED television comes with a wall bracket at the factory.
