The Dead Space remake will be released at the end of the month - and it is now certain that the horror game for gaming fans on the current-gen consoles will be a real feast for the eyes if they wish. Players can choose between graphics quality or performance. 

The highly anticipated Dead Space remake launches on January 27th. EA and the Motive Studio development team recently released new details about the survival horror shooter. The system requirements for the PC had already been mentioned in October - and they were surprisingly high. It must be at least a Ryzen 5 2600X or i5 8600, accompanied by an RX 5700 or GTX 1070 and 16 GB of RAM. On the other hand, a Ryzen 5 5600X or i5 11600K with a Radeon RX 6700 XT or GeForce RTX 2070 with 16 GB RAM is recommended. In addition, there is Directx 12 and around 50 gigabytes of hard disk space.

Dead Space Remake: Console gamers have a choice

So far it was unclear what the whole thing would look like on consoles. It is now clear that Motive Studio will rely on the option already known from other games: On PS5 and Xbox Series X, Dead Space offers players the option to choose between two graphic modes.

There's a quality mode that's said to run at 4K resolution at 30 FPS with ray tracing enabled. A performance mode is also available that runs at 2K (or 1440p) resolution, then at 60 FPS and no ray tracing features.

Ultimately, it should be particularly exciting with regard to the look on the power consoles, because the remake of Dead Space will only be released for current-gen devices. By ignoring the latest generation of console systems, you can expect a decent graphics leap - at least compared to the original, but also given the possibilities that current gaming hardware basically offers. So it's not just interesting in terms of Dead Space's gameplay improvements. In any case, the development team at EA Motive seems to want to exploit the power of current-gen consoles.

The game will be released on January 27th. So fans won't have to wait long to find out for themselves.
