The new patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 has been rolled out. CD Projekt Red is back with a comprehensive update with numerous improvements. The action RPG that everything else got off to a perfect start has become much quieter. Now the developers are working at full speed on bug fixes and game improvements. The patch that has now been released activates ray tracing on AMD graphics cards, which PC gamers should be happy about - provided that the hardware is appropriate. The patch notes are comprehensive. 


Outside of fan groups, we hadn't heard much about Cyberpunk 2077, but Cyberpunk 2077 is back with Release Patch 1.2, the second of the announced patches. Already in patch 1.1 the focus was primarily on bug fixes - this is no different with the patch, which was actually planned as a February update: the new patch with version number 1.2 also focuses on revising incorrect content, but also offers some visual improvements as well Quality of Life adjustments.

Due to the extensive work on the patch and the hacker attack in February, the release had to be postponed. At the end of February, CD Projekt Red announced that they wanted to roll out the update in the second half of March - that obviously worked, because players can now update the action role-playing game to the current version. Only fans of Google Stadia will have to be patient, the patch will be released for them in the course of the week.

Around 40 gigabytes: Patch 1.2 is huge

Patch 40 for Playstation and Xbox is over 1.2 gigabytes in size; on the PC, the update devours around 31, but plus four to five gigabytes per installed language. So if you are multilingual, you have to be more patient until the download is complete. The patch size gives an initial indication of how extensive the bug fixes ultimately turn out to be.

Console fans will be pleased that Cyberpunk 2077 is now much better playable with the second major update than it was when it was released.
